Life is not static. Life is in a constant state of change. Life is vibrant, full of shifts and changing color. When I paint, I don't capture a specific scene, I capture the energy behind the scene - the feeling, emotion, and intensity that is behind pivotal changes in our lives.
This is me... putting my energy into a canvas; this is
energy that will spark thoughts, emotions and feelings from the viewer,
touching them in some way. This is being human and sharing my vulnerabilities,
dreams and hopes through canvas in a way that will help others do the same.

My inspiration is the world around me and how I move through it. I love the sensations of touching, smelling, hearing, seeing, thinking and feeling. I love connecting with the world around me, whether it's making eye contact and talking with a deer on a sunrise walk, or bread that I am kneading, or people that I am enjoying sharing and learning from in the walk of life.
Art is a process of committing thoughts and feelings to canvas through a variety of mediums. Right now I like acrylic but that could change. Sometimes the process is very sudden with just a few primary colors where emotion and power of intention are committed quickly and directly. Sometimes it is 90% contemplation and 10% action, where it is done methodically in stages, with each stage of the canvasing telling me what needs to be done. I am always learning and exploring new techniques.
My mission is simple, to impart my energy to canvas in a way that captures and inspires the viewer.
With each canvas I paint there is a story or statement that gives you perspective on what I was thinking about when I painted the picture.
These paintings are meant to speak to you in some way, to start a conversation and enjoy company, to keep you company while you sit and relax and read a book.
